Gym Buddies

One thing that will always keep me motivated to go to gym is my Dad being my gym-buddy. Yes, you read correctly, my Dad is my gym-buddy 😀 Having a gym-buddy keeps you motivated to go to gym because you know that the other person is counting on you to go to gym with them. Training with someone is much better than training alone. You can help each other when it comes to doing heavy weights and you can keep each other going when the workouts get tough. The only time I gym alone is when I need to have some ME time, or when I am alone at Varsity/home.

Processed with VSCOcam with b1 preset My Dad has been the most influential person in my life  when it comes to gym. He got me hooked on training and is always pushing me to do better! 🙂 Sometimes it can be difficult training together, but training with someone who actually cares about your progress is better than training with someone who is only concerned about their own progress.

My Dad constantly pushes me to do one more kilometer running or one more rep of the exercise, he never gives up and is always the hardest worker in the room.

It is very important to have someone you can look up to for inspiration. It doesn’t even have to be someone you know, that’s a bonus 😉 I’m lucky that I have an athletic family. My Dad has always been a gym person, and my brother is  rugby player, so I am always pushed in the gym to do better and work harder towards my goals. My mom has also been an active person throughout her life, and she makes sure that we all eat the healthiest food possible in our daily diets.

Surround yourself with people who care about your future and only want to see you reach your goals ❤ Life is too short to be surrounded by negativity, and people who do not have your best interests at heart!
